  This place is amazing! Their braiding skills are extraordinary! The staff is also welcoming, and professional. I am always complimented on how well my hair is braided. I have also recommended this place to several coworkers,  who have also began coming to get their hair braided here.   First time going to this braiding spot / beauty supply store. Staff is friendly and quick, also extremely clean for a braiding salon. Pricing is affordable, I got a little passed over the shoulder length medium passion twist and I loved it! I’m always super self conscious because I have alopecia on both side of my head and the way this lady braider managed to braid my hair you can’t even tell at all.   I had a wonderful experience getting my hair braided here for the first time. I was able to get a same-day appointment. All three ladies were very lovey and kind. The owner ensured that I got exactly what I asked for. Fatou took her time and my small box braids look amazing, not too tight. 5 stars !!!!   I had a truly wonderful experience visiting Jay’s! I called Sunday morning, about an hour before I arrived wondering if I could be serviced. They said I could come whenever I wanted. When I came in, I was greeted and inquired about services, and immediately received help. Not even five minutes and I was picking out what kind of hair I wanted For knotless box braids with added curly hair. All of the ladies were very nice and respectful, and worked so quickly too! You couldn’t beat the price if you tried! Hair included and since they are also a beauty supply store if you don’t have enough or what you want they have it all! This was the best hair braiding experience I’ve ever had, and cannot wait to come back and bring my loved ones. Looking forward to seeing my braider Sally again!

  10/10!!!! I came here super nervous because I’ve never been to the Africans to get my hair done. As soon as I walked into the shop, all the ladies greeted me with smiles & joy. I felt a little out of place at first obviously because I’m Hispanic, but they assured me they have done many Spanish sisters hair & they are family. Well after my experience, I’m family too! This was my birthday hairstyle, I asked for medium bohemian box braids with curly ends & brought my own human hair for added curls. $200 flat!!! Took about 5 hours since I have long thick hair, no pain, no extreme tightness everything was amazingly neat. Thank you again, & I will be back!
